Furnace Leasing
Currently available in our Ohio area only, the EfficiencyLeaseSM program1 offers Columbia Gas customers the option to lease quality, high-efficiency natural gas furnaces. The furnaces available are rated from 80% to 95.5% efficiency, in a wide range of sizes2. You’ll be sure to get the right furnace for your home installed by a local, licensed, independent contractor.
With a new furnace installed3, not only do you have the peace of mind that your family's comfort can bring, there's also the added benefit of maximizing your home heating dollar3.
Once we schedule your new furnace installation, you can rest assured that our professional independent contractors will make every effort to complete your installation in just one day.
If you’re not in Ohio and think furnace leasing might be right for you, keep checking our website! Our program is expanding and we may be in your area soon.
What's Included?
Your monthly lease fee includes annual maintenance and any repairs that may be needed.1 The same independent contractor who installed your furnace will likely also perform the repairs and annual maintenance.
Are You a Landlord?
Leasing may be a better choice than buying. Not only can your tenants call us directly for repairs any time, night or day – saving you the hassle – but there may be tax advantages as well. Check with your tax advisor then call us for more information on leasing a natural gas furnace.
1The transaction is a lease and typically requires a 7-year commitment. As such lessees will make at least 84 monthly payments, which, depending on Appliance size and the nature of the installation, generally range from $75.00 to $110.00, plus tax. Although an up-front payment is typically not required for standard installations, additional charges may apply for non-standard installations and are payable to the contractor. No security deposit is required; however, all leases are subject to credit approval.
2Before leasing any Appliance, please read the important information about the estimated annual energy consumption, yearly operating costs and energy efficiency ratings. Information can be found at www.energystar.gov, www.ftc.gov/appliances and the manufacturer websites.
3Please note that when the furnace is installed, Columbia Retail Services files a UCC Form 1 covering the furnace.
